Seeing like a software company - i found this really interesting, about the tradeoff a large organisaion makes between productivity and monitoring productivity. need to do some digging into the original book the post references.

- side grumble - i’ve been using Claude to help talk me through some ideas and setup for projects to work on with my son. it goes out of its way to refer to me as “dad” 😐 when there’s nothing in the conversation relevant to gender or needing to mention mum or dad. obviously only men can work on something so mind-blowingly technical as connecting some LEDs and a buzzer to a breadboard. 🙄

can you make an image of people working in a boring council office on rubbish cheap laptops but one person has a really expensive over the top , top of the range, streamer / gaming type set up with light up keyboard and a big gaming chair and a ring light and 4 huge curved monitors
i cant explain why because there is no valid reason lol
out of curiosity i gave it to a couple of models
in about 3 seconds gemini came up with this, pretty good:
copilot chuffed away for over a minute, then produced this… 🤡
UPDATE: for balance, i then gave chatGPT the same prompt but it took so long i forgot about it. it finally made this 🥴
